Pfeffermühle in Duren

First visit at lunchtime. Corona rules strictly adhered to. On the small lunch menu, 6-7 dishes are offered, which are served in advance with the soup of the day and then with a dessert as a menu, and that for a small price. All dishes are deliciously prepared and well presented, the one (!) Crouton in the pumpkin soup was a bit lost, but the soup was very good. Schnitzel deliciously crispy, vegetables (frozen) boring, french fries ok. Satarrash slightly spicy (instead of spicy), the rösti that have been reordered are also delicious. Good side salad. Dessert 2 mini cream puffs with ice cream filling, frozen goods. I will be happy to come back after the November closure, as the price-performance ratio is right. 2 negative points of criticism that could easily be resolved: in a restaurant called "Pfeffermühle" I expect one on every table, here I had to ask. 🤔 And it definitely takes too long for a lunch break, so the kitchen has to be faster, otherwise all workers will not be ready during the lunch break.

Wow! That describes it briefly and concisely for me. Nice ambience, nice service and really tasty "real" restaurant dishes. Here is still cooked properly and not the bag or the bucket torn open. You won't find that in Düren! And I know what I'm talking about, because I am a specialist myself and know all convenience stuff inside out. If you really want to have a good meal and can do without Maggi, Knorr and Co, this is the right place for you!

Very friendly service and delicious food. Even my current disability was taken into account. (In other words, suitable space because of the wheelchair with telephone reservation). We would be happy to come back.

Very nice restaurant, discovered by accident. Visited for the second time today at lunchtime. The lunch menu was very good both times. The service was very friendly and the prices reasonable. Gladly again !! 😁

Yesterday I went to the pepper mill (once again) with my wife. Result: simply great. We both ate very well to excellent. E.g. my fillet steak absolutely perfect and to the point. Not to complain about the operation and service; kind and courteous. We'd love to go there again !!!

Relatively good food for the Rhine-Maasland. Service friendly but inflexible & not very accommodating. Side salad shown in the menu from the buffet to the main course not available due to Corona (at the same time already released again in nearby restaurants). The request for just (!) A little more salad was answered with the answer that this "additional account" had to be assigned. French fries were filling but not really edible. This mayonnaise, which is requested as a supplement to the tasteless herbal quark, was then allocated separately per sachet (a completely new experience - previously only experienced in fast food and snack bars worldwide). The meal was overall acceptable but not really delicate, only tasted modestly & overall looked a bit carelessly prepared. Main courses leave space for starters and desserts.

Hello my dears. We decided at short notice to go with well-known food. The restaurant was recommended to us. Because of Coron, we wanted to eat outside. There was a probability of rain. We were the only ones sitting in the beer garden. The beer garden was in the backyard. Houses around it, but very cozy. It turned out to be a great evening. Even though it was a bit cool and we were sitting a bit far from the passage, we were served attentively, courteously and quickly. We chose lumberjack platters with different types of meat. For just under 18.00 euros. And we were totally surprised how good, rich and very nicely prepared the menu was. The meat was perfectly prepared and everything tasted very good. The dessert was great too. An absolutely hot tip. 👌 Highly recommended !!! Very nice service! Very good food! Price for the menu top! Very clean and cozy! But remember to reserve early! Nice cozy atmosphere, drinks were offered right away and food arrived after a reasonable time, although it was quite busy. That is also the reason better to reserve in advance. The portions were OK for the price, at least everyone was really full. The food itself was delicious too! Can you go well in groups, highly recommended.
